Govt to form Bihar Road Authority:Nitish

Patna, Jan 27 (UNI) Bihar government is seriously considering constitution of Bihar Road Authority to accelerate the pace of construction of quality roads.

After holding a high level meeting with the state road construction minister and concerned officers, Mr Kumar told newspersons here that the constitution of an authority was essential to maintain the quality of the road projects.

During the meeting he directed the officers to give financial and administrative powers to the proposed Authority and take assistance of specialists and technocrats of national and international fame.

Mr Kumar said the authority would be given full power for acquiring land for road construction.

In the meeting, the road construction department had suggested formation of the authority to improve the quality of road construction.
