Five arrested in connection with minor boy's abduction

Dehra Dun, Jan 27 (UNI) Five people, including three minors, were arrested today by the Dehra Dun Police for the alleged abduction of a 13-year-old boy.

Superitendent of Police (SP) Dehradun, N S Napchayal said on the basis of the police investigation, four people, including one Mintoo (26) and other three minors, were arrested from Dehra Dun. On their confession, Md Tayyab (22) was also arrested today from a hotel near Mujjafarnagar Bus terminus and Shashank was recovered.

While producing the abductors in front of the media, the SP said Shashank Saklani, son of Mr M L Saklani, a resident of Deepnagar went missing on January 24 and the very next day Mr Saklani received a phone call, demanding a ransom of Rs 20 lakh in return of Shashank. He again received a call on January 26, in which the ransom amount was increased to Rs 30 lakh.

Meanwhile, police said that Shashank was familiar to one of the minor abductor.
