Curfew relaxation extended in Jabalpur

Jabalpur, Jan 27 (UNI) With the situation remaining peaceful, the two-hour curfew relaxation in six police station areas of the city from 1800 hrs to 2000 hrs was further extended till to 0100 hrs.

As a result of extended curfew relaxation, Moharram procession started from various 'Imambadas' for the Piran Peer Dargah where 'Salami' would be offered.

Collector Sanjay Dube said curfew relaxation was extended as no untoward incident took place during the two-hour relaxation period.

Earlier, curfew was relaxed following assurances of maintaining peace from representatives of members of both communities and prominent citizens.
