Cancer awareness programme in Panaji tomorrow

Panaji, Jan 27 (UNI) National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE), along with Indian Medical Association and High Court Bar Association, has organised a ''Cancer Awareness Programme'' tomorrow at Panaji Gymkhana Ground, Campal.

It starts with a cricket match between Doctors XI and Advocates XI.

Fifty cancer-afflicted children will be felicitated by former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. Goa Medical College dean Dr Jindal, Director of Health Services Dr A V Salelkar, Goa IMA president Dr Francis Colasso, and other eminent personlaities will attend the function.

The 50 children will be feted since they have shown that ''if you have strong will-power, you can conquer cancer'', according to a NOTE press release.
