Anti-Hema Malini brigade stops screening of 'Baabul'
Varanasi, Jan 27 (UNI) Activists of the Kranti Shiv Sena (KSS) stalled the screening of Hema Malini starrer 'Baabul' at a theatre in the Assi locality here today over the dream girl's recent statement against non-Marathi Mumbaikars.
Led by their president Arun Pathak, the KSS activists went to the Abhay cinema hall here and raised anti-Hema Malini slogans. Later they burnt posters of the film and also forced the hall management to stop the afternoon show of the film.
''We demand immediate apology from Ms Malini over her recent statements against non-Marathi Mumbaikars and failing the apology we will launch a campaign against Marathi speaking population of Varanasi,'' Mr Pathak cautioned.
