Rectified spirit seized in Palakkad

Palakkad, Jan 26 (UNI) Officials of the Excise department seized 12,000 litres of rectified spirit worth Rs 20 lakh and arrested one person at Thattamangalam in the district today .

The spirit was concealed in a lorry proceeding to Thrissur from Tamil Nadu, officials said.

Ambarasan, hailing from Theni was held in this connection, they said.
