Special schemes for rickshaw pullers: CM
Patna, Jan 26: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has launched a special scheme called ''Samman'' for the rickshaw pullers of the state.
Mr Kumar distributed 55 rickshaws, each costing Rs 14000, which have security measures along with entertainment facilities like the FM band radio and newspapers. These rickshaws were also equipped with first aid facility.
He said the scheme, which became a reality with the co-operation of the Dena bank, would certainly improve the life of rickshaw pullers.
Mr Kumar lauded the efforts of Mr Irfan, a student of IIM Ahmedabad-- the brain behind these unique rickshaws, and appealed to the students studying outside the state to use their talent for Bihar's devlopment.
