New Chief Staff Officer for Andaman and Nicobar Command

Port Blair, Jan 26 (UNI) Brigadier Anil Kumar Bhalla has taken over as the Chief Staff Officer (Operations) of the Andaman and Nicobar Command from Air Commodore Ravi Dhar.

Air Commodore Dhar has been now transsferred to the college of Defence Management, Secunderabad.

Brigadier Bhalla was commissioned in the Indian Army on July 13,1976. He is an alumni of Defence Academy&Defence Services Staff College. He is a specialist in Mech Ops. He has undergone various professional courses like Basic Para Trooper Course in Para Training School, Agra and SC 70 at College of Combat Mhow. Apart from these specialized courses he has also done MSc (Defence Studies) from Madras University and M Phil from Indore University. Prior to taking over this appointment, he Commanded the 2 (Ind) Armoured Brigade.

He has also held prestigious and distinguished appointments like Director Perspective Planning (Global), Col MS and Col MS Delta Force.
