Jail Minister visits hospital

Badwani, MP, Jan 26 (UNI) Jail Minister Antar Singh Arya today visited a girl student, who studies in a local Christian missionary school and was injured when beaten up by principal, at hospital.

Assuring strong action in the matter, Mr Arya directed the Collector and the Superintendent of Police to take steps to avoid similar incidents in future.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (Nimad region) department convenor Jitendra Nikum demanded cancellation of school's affiliation, suspension of Town Inspector for misbehaving with BJP workers and registration of case against the Principal for child atrocities.

He warned that a bandh would be called and 'dharnas' would be staged if these demands were not met.

Sonam's father Raghuveer Singh Tomar said his daughter had not been able to overcome the shock after the beating.

Sister Suman was released on bail last evening. She was arrested yesterday for beating the girl, who was accused of stealing the notebooks and textbooks of her classmates.
