Indians celebrate Republic Day in Bangkok

Bangkok, Jan 26: Indian Ambassador to Thailand Latha Reddy unfurled the national flag at the Indian Embassy this morning before a large gathering of Indians living here on the occasion of Republic Day.

The Ambassador, who arrived in Thailand earlier this month, then read out the President's Republic Day eve address in both Hindi and English.

Children from a Thai-Indian school in Bangkok and members of the Indian Women's Club rendered Indian patriotic group songs in Hindi and Telugu.

About 300 people of Indian origin and Indian nationals working in Bangkok were present.
