Girl commits suicide, five wounded in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 26 (UNI) A girl committed suicide while five people were wounded in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley today, police said.

They said a 17-year-old girl, Dilshada, consumed some poisonous substance at her residence at Thukerpora under the Kralgund police station this morning.

The girl was rushed to the Dangiwacha hospital where she died.

Police have registered a case in this regard.

Meanwhile, a tanker hit and wounded Imran Ahmad, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, at Lasjan Bye-pass near Nowgam on the city outskirts.

He has been hospitalised and a case registered in this regard.

Police, further, added that one timber platform, carrying firewood, turned turtle at Pehlipora village near Kellar in Pulwama district, injuring four people.

The injured have been hospitalised.
