Firing at Republic Day function leaves 3 wounded; one arrested
Lucknow, Jan 26 (UNI) Three teachers, including an inter-college principal sustained pellet injuries, when a former manager of the institution fired upon them at the Republic Day function in Kandhla area of Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
Police said here former manager of Moolchand Inter-College Netrapal was recently removed from the post. As a result, he held grudge against the college management.
This morning, he arrived at the school with his aides and started firing, resulting in wounds to principal Amarpal Singh, besides two teachers Satish and Ratan Singh.
Later, one of the accused identified as Rahul was arrested.
The wounded persons had been admitted to hospital.
