Curfew re-clamped in four cities

Kathmandu, Janauary 26 (UNI) The Local administration today re-imposed curfew in Biratnagar, Birgunj, Janakpur and Lahan city in eastern Terai region to prevent violence from spreading further.

The curfew was imposed in Biratnagar from 0800 hours to 1800 hours local time. Likewise, Birgunj will observe curfew between 0900 hours to 1900 hours while Janakpur will be under the day long curfew between 0700 hours to 1700 hours.

Lahan, the city which has been under the wraps of intermittent curfew hours since past one week, will be further under the grip of curfew between 1000 hours till 1800 hours local time.

The curfew in the four cities has been clamped as the violent riots by Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) continued to intensify.
