Brazil's Lula sees Doha trade agreement in months
DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan 26 (Reuters) Countries negotiating the Doha round of global trade talks should reach agreement in three to four months, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said today.
''I am convinced that somewhere in the next three or four months we'll reach agreement on the Doha round,'' Lula told a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum meeting.
Lula also said that Bolivian President Evo Morales was entitled to nationalise the country's hydrocarbon reserves last year.
''He was entitled to nationalise gas because it is his right.
It's the only wealth he has. Brazil has to pay a fair price for the gas we buy from Bolivia and the same when we sell raw materials.
Brazil wants a fair price,'' he said.
