Amarinder asks Sidhu to goto Mumbai

Ludhiana, Jan 26 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today advised cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is the BJP candidate for the Amritsar Parliamentary constituency, ''to go to Mumbai'', the film Capital of the country.

''He (Sidhu) reminds me of Johnny Walker (comedian) and will be a hit in the Mumbai film world'', Capt Singh addressing a media conference here today.

''The jokes that he cracks have become stale'', he retorted when asked about the outcome of the Amritsar Parliamentary by-election which is to held on February 13 along with assembly elections in all the 117 constituencies.

Sidhu who had resigned the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat after his conviction in a road rage case by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on December 6, is contesting the by-election after the Supreme Court granted a stay on his conviction. He is being challenged by Congress candidate and state Finance Minister Surinder Singla.
