Writer Ramdarash Mishra awarded Bharat Bharti
Lucknow, Jan 25 (UNI) Noted litterateur Dr Ramdarash Mishra was today awarded the highest literary award of Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan, 'Bharati Bharti' here.
Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, who was to do the honours, could not participate in the function, as he was busy in the legislative assembly, where his government won a vote of confidence.
The function was chaired by writer and MP Uday Pratap Singh, where senior journalist and literateur Kanhaiyyalal Nandan was special guest.
Dr Krishnadutt Paliwal, Kamtanath, Gopal Chaturvedi, Arjundas Kesri, Balbir Singh 'Karun' and Sripal Singh were awarded Lohia Samman, Mahatma Gandhi samman, Hindi Gaurav Samman, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay samman, Awantibai samman and Madhu Limaye samman respectively on the occasion.
Chavvinath Mishra, Amarnath Shulka, Hriday Narain Mehrotra, Acharya Bhaskaranand Lohani, Naim, Ravindra Kalia, Kumar Ravindra, Dr Prabhakar Shotria, Dr Amrita Bharti, Dr Kusum Ansal, Dr Satya Prakash Mishra and Dr Dhananjay Singh were awarded with Sahitya Bhushan award.
Mohan Swarup Bhatia, Devendra Raj Ankur, Dr Pratima Asthana, Dr Anil Chaturvedi and Dr Nand Kishore Nautiyal were awarded with Lok Bhushan samman, Kala Bhushan, Vidya Bhushan, Vigyan Bhushan and Patrakar Bhushan samman respectively.
The Pravasi Bhartiya Hindi Bhushan samman was awarded to Dr Satyendra Srivastava, while Ms Sushila Sharma Haq and Dr Shusm Bedi were awarded with Hindi Videsh Prasar samman. Dr Vidya Gupta received the Bal Sahitya samman.
On the occasion, Sauhard samman was conferred upon writers of other Indian languages.
These included, Abid Surti (Gujarati), Vishwanath Sachdev (Punjabi), Bhagwan Atlani (Sindhi), Dr Bimla Kumari Munshi (Kashmiri) and K Vikram Rao (Telugu). The University-level award was awarded to Dr Krishna Chandra Lal and prof. Jai Hind 'Neerad'.
Meanwhile, 25 other writers, included Pramod Govil, Ramanand Rai 'Ganwar', Shivnand Mishra 'Bundela' and Dr Sushil Sidharth were awarded with Namit (nominated) samman.
Ajit Patel, Sachin Gupta, Avdhesh Yadav, Punam Yadav and Sudipta Gupta were felicitated for outstanding results in high school exams.
Aparna Vyas, Srchana Srivastava and Sangeeta Yadav were feted for excellent results in intermediate examination.
