Weaker sections ignored in cabinet expansion: CPM

Bangalore, Jan 25 (UNI) CPI (M) today condemned the state government for ignoring the weaker and oppressed sections while favouring the upper cast in the cabinet in which Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy inducted five more minister today.

The government, since resuming power a year ago, had been ignoring the socially backward section of people. Women also continued to be the a deprived lot as the government had failed to appoint even one member as minister, Politburo Member S Y Gurushanth said in a statement here today.
