Security forces dicovers arms and ammunition

Srinagar, Jan 25: A war like store, including deadly RDX and rockets, were recovered by security forces in north Kashmir, official sources said today.

They said troops and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint operation at Kandi Karnah yesterday afternoon following a tip off that militants had stored a large cache of arms and ammunition there.

However, after a long search, security forces finally unearthed the underground hideout in the deep forest.

The arms and ammunition recovered included 16 kg deadly RDX, one RPG launcher with six rockets, 84 UBGL, 18 hand grenades, one pistol with one magazine and 16 rounds.

No one was however arrested, sources added.
