VimtaLabs net plummets

Hyderabad, Jan 25 (UNI) VimtaLabs, a contract testing lab, saw its net profit plummet to Rs 160.34 lakh in the third quarter ending December 31, 2006.

In the quarter, the company had posted income of Rs 1,567.57 lakh. The EBIDTA stood at Rs 669.23 lakh and PAT at Rs 160.44 lakh as compared to previous quarter of Rs 766.68 lakh and Rs 344.73 lakh respectively.

"The company is in the process of achieving optimum capacity utilisation of the life sciences facility which was commissioned in the previous quarter, consequent to this gestation, there is a reduction in the EBIDTA and PAT," a company release said here today.
