Trio nabbed for triple murder

Indore, Jan 25 (UNI) Three ruffians have been arrested for fatally stabbing three persons and injuring two with knives in the local Chandannagar area.

Last evening's murders -- by Sadiq, Kalu Pathan and Rafeeq alias Ajju -- were money-linked. The deceased were identified as Sheikh Zareen, Ganesh Singh and Mukhtyar Rasool. Mohammad Waseem and Nitin Tikle were hurt.

''Last year, Zareen said he would pay Rs 5,000 to Sadiq for threatening Irfan Mota. Sadiq injured Irfan and was jailed for three months. Zareen paid Rs 3,000 to Sadiq,'' Superintendent of Police Anshuman Yadav told reporters here today.

Sadiq demanded the rest of the money yesterday and a dispute ensued. After fatally assaulting Zareen, the trio collided with Singh and Rasool at separate spots, demanded money from them and also assaulted them.
