Sterlite posts net profit at Rs 12.8cr

New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) Sterlite Optical Technologies Ltd today posted a dip in its net profit at Rs 12.8 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006 where as the same was at Rs 15.1 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

However, the total income increased to Rs 277 crore in Q3FY07 against Rs 207.5 crore in Q3FY06.

The company also informed that it had acquired Power Transmission Line (PTL) business from Sterlite Industries India Ltd (SIIL) on going concern basis from July 1, 2006. Hence figures for current period are not comparable with figures for the previous period.
