Slippers hurled at judge
Bhopal, Jan 25 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Judicial Officers Association today condemned the hurling of slippers in the Sessions Court, Gwalior, after a former constable was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder.
''The Association requests the government to take steps for protecting the dignity of the state's judges who will otherwise be forced to resort to en-masse protest and 'Gandhigiri','' Association General Secretary Vijay Chandra, who is also the Deputy Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission, said in a release.
The slippers were hurled after Judge Rajendra Mahajan handed down the punishment to Jagmohan Parashar who had slain Gijju Satoriya, the release added.
