Selja considers housing concessions for recommendation to FM

New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) Ministry for Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation has considered various fiscal concession for recommendation to the Ministry of Finance which would boost the housing stock to achieve the goal of affordable houses for all.

The proposals for concessions were discussed in a pre-budget meeting Minister Kumari Selja had with various chambers/stakeholders recently.

At the end of the 10th Plan, there will be a shortage of about 24.4 million houses in the country.

The shortage is above 98 per cent for economically weaker sections.
