Select cotton price eases

Mumbai, Jan 25 (UNI) Prices of select cotton varities like Punjab J-34 and MCU-5 crashed by Rs 300 each per candy and NHH-44 by Rs 100 per candy on sluggish demand.

However, 26-MM increased by Rs 100 per candy on good demand.

Following are the spot cotton rates per candy in Rupees: Bengal Desi: Rs 13,400, V-797: Rs 12,700, Karnataka Jayadhar: Rs 14,100, Y-1: Rs 15,000, Punjab J-34: Rs 15,100 (new), NHH-44: Rs 15,500, LRA: Rs 16,400, H-4: Rs 17,000, S-6-A grade: Rs 17,800 (new), Bunny/Brahma: Rs 18,100, MCU-5: Rs 20,700, DCH-32: Rs 32,000, 26-MM: Rs 16,000 (new).

Tomorrow, there will be no trading on cotton market on account of Republic Day.
