Pyramid Saimira to hold marriages at its theatres

New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd today said it has tied up with Kalyana Malai Matrimonial Pvt Ltd, for marriage bureaus to be positioned at its theatrical locations across India and will also hold equity stakes in the latter.

The company did not disclose as to how much equity it will hold in Kalyana Malai.

The matchmaking and marriage industry is estimated to be around Rs 50,000-80,000 crore and growing at 25 per cent a year.

As per the agreement, the first marriage bureau is expected to be operational by February 9 and over 100 marriage bureaus will be added in FY07-08 in the Pyramid's across India.

More than 6,000 marriages are expected to be arranged in fiscal 2008 in these bureaus, a statement said.

''Kalyana Malai Matrimonial Pvt Ltd has offered a revenue share to the Pyramid on its revenues and also offered equity stakes to Pyramid,'' it stated.

Kalyana Malai which has conducted over 40,000 marriages since 1999, is the only matrimonial agency present in multiple delivery channels like internet, print media, TV channels and chat shows.

It will have its online marriage bureau in Pyramid theatres, wherein the prospective brides and grooms video introduction will be taken, detailed registration and marriage making done through exhaustive search, and video online interaction between selected grooms and brides will be arranged.

Complete marriage services on a turnkey basis will be offered in these locations.
