Militant killed in north Kashmir

Baramulla, Jan 25 (UNI) Troops killed a militant in a night-long encounter in north Kashmir, a defence ministry spokesman said.

He said they conducted a search operation at Kralpora in this district last night following a tip off that some militants were hiding there.

During the operation, a militant was killed. One AK rifle and two hand grenades were recovered from the slain militant.

The operation was going on when the reports last came in, he said.
