Maruti launches Swift's Diesel versions

Mumbai, Jan 25 (UNI) The market leader in the small car segment, Maruti Udyog have unvieled the diesel versions of it's Swift model.

The ex-show room price of Swift LDi is Rs 4,84,960 while the Swift VDi is priced at Rs 5,14,400.

''The demand for diesel cars is growing in India and in order to cater to this latest trend Suzuki Motor Corporation and Maruti Udyog have jointly made major investments in diesel facilities to serve it's customers,'' MD and CEO Mr Khattar said, while launching the car yesterday.

It may be noted here that Swift boasts of the smallest four-cylinder diesel engine amongst passenger cars in the world.

There is no parrallel to this version in the car market.

Maruti had launched Swift's petrol version more than a year ago.
