Ghaziabad, Jan 25: Moninder Singh Pandher and Surinder Koli, the two main accused in the Noida Serial killings, were today beaten up by lawyers and members of the public when they were brought to a court here.

The two were attacked as soon as they came to the court in the CBI custody. The police personnel present in the court were far outnumbered by the lawyers and the civilians present there.

Pandher fainted after the attack and CBI sources said he was being taken to a hospital in New Delhi for medical check-up.

The CBI, which had taken over the custody of both the accused on January 11 produced them in court to seek their fresh remand. It had registered 19 cases against them in the sensational killings of young girls and children in Noida.

Uttar Pradesh Police had on December 29 recovered skulls and human remains from a drain behind Pandher's D-5, Sector 31 residence in Noida unearthing the serial killings of children and women allegedly by him and his domestic help Koli.

As Pandher was being taken to the lockup, some lawyers caught him by his hair and repeatedly punched him on his face and rained blows on him.
