Investor meet on January 27

Kottayam, Jan 25 (UNI) Stage is set for the investor meet to be held here, under the joint auspices of the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) and Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) and Department of Tourism on January 27.

The meet was organised with the intention to transform Kottayam into a dynamic and vibrant industrial destination, V N Vasavan MLA, said at a news conference today.

IT, tourism, food and agricultural processing, textiles and garments, furniture, health care, rubber-based products were identified as the main categories for focused development in the district.

MoU on an institute for technical skills and food processing unit was expected to sign at the meet.

State Home and Tourism Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan would inaugurate the meet. Malayala Manorama Chief Editor K M Mathew would be the Chief Guest. State Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem would inaugurate the valedictory function.
