Indian jumps to death in Bahrain

Dubai, Jan 25 (UNI) A 47-year-old jewelery shop employee in Bahrain jumped to death from the footbridge of a busy street in Manama yesterday, sources said today.

The deceased, Chedacy Hamza hailing from Kerala, worked in the jewellery section of the Bahrain Duty Free Shop.

He landed on a car driven by a Bahraini on the King Faisal highway at 1045 hrs yesterday injuring the occupants, reports said.

Hamza is survived by his wife and two daughters.

His family had left for Kannur in Kerala only week ago, press reports quoted his friends as saying. Investigations are on.
