IIE to showcase products at 'NEXPO-2007'

New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), will showcase its achievements and cluster products in the 'NEXPO- 2007' which is to be held from January 27 to February three at the NSIC Exhibition Ground here.

In the NEXPO, the best of cane and bamboo handicrafts from Nagaland and Manipuri handlooms will be displayed.

IIE, an organisation under the Ministry of Small Scale Industries and Agro and Rural Industries is developing clusters of small enterprises.

According to official sources, IIE has been grooming artisans from different states through cluster initiatives. IIE, Guwahati started with cluster development works during January 2005 with the artisan cluster of cane and bamboo under the aegis of Development Commissioner (SSI) at Dimapur, Nagaland.

The process continued and IIE took up a handloom cluster in Manipur in May 2006.
