HSIIDC to develop 17,000 acres of land

Chandigarh, Jan 25 (UNI) The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has chalked out an ambitious plan to develop 17,000 acres of land during the next five years under which an investment of Rs 10,000 crore would be made.

This was disclosed by HSIIDC Chairman and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, M L Tayal, while presenting a dividend cheque of two crore rupees to Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today.

Mr Tayal said HSIIDC had earned a profit of Rs 29.42 crore during the year 2005-06 as against Rs 17.97 crore during the year 2004-05, registering an increase of 63.79 per cent.

He said under the ambitious project development of Manesar Expansion, New Industrial Townships at Rohtak, Faridabad, Kharkhoda and Jagadhari would also be undertaken.

Mr Tayal said the HSIIDC had generated a gross income of Rs 44.79 crore during the last financial year as against Rs 35.56 crore in 2004-05.

Similarly, the Corporation had incurred revenue expenditure of Rs 15.36 crore during 2005-06 as against Rs 17.59 crore during 2004-05.

He said the Corporation had also recovered a sum of Rs 253 crore from the allotees during the financial year 2005-06.

The Corporation had also developed a world class Industrial Model Township at Manesar spread over an area of 3,000 acres of land.
