Haryana Government bans fresh appointments in universities

Rohtak, Jan 25 (UNI) The Haryana Government has banned all fresh appointments in the state universities till further orders.

It has been decided to undertake restructuring exercise of all teaching and non-teaching posts in the universities of the state in compliance with the Finance department instructions to undertake a detail review of all the departments where restructuring has already been done.

A communication from the Higher Education Commissioner has been sent to this effect to the registrars of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, Kurukshetra University and Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa.

In view of the Finance department instructions, it has been decided to ban all fresh appointments in the universities till the restructuring exercise is over, the communication said.

MDU Registrar, Dr S P Vats, said the instructions would be strictly complied with.
