Governor address did not focus on priority sector

Bangalore, Jan 25 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh today said that the Governor's address to the Joint House failed to disclose government's stand on irrigation, farmers suicide and implementation of Nanjundappa Report on removal of Regional Imbalance.

Former Deputy Chief Minister and Congress leader S Siddaramaiah in his reaction, alleged that the Governor's address was repetition of the budget speech without any foresight.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjun Kharge, in his reaction, alleged that this government was only making promises and had no definite commitment to take up the people-oriented programmes.
