George not involved in Samata Party conference-Sharad

Patna, Jan 25 (UNI) Janata Dal(United) national president Sharad Yadav today said that George Fernandes is his good friend and not involved in the Samata Party conference.

Talking to newspersons here Mr Yadav ruled out revival of the Samata Party saying it was already a registered party.

He came out in open support of Mr Fernandes who was recently unceremoniously removed from the post of party's national president.

George is my old and good friend and is a well established leader of JD(U), he said.

He, however, said Mr Fernandes would himself reply about the speculations being made in political circle about his joining the Samata Party.

Mr Yadav further said that Mr Fernandes was the convener of NDA and would remain in the post.
