5 injured in rival NSCN inter-factional clash
Kohima, Jan 25: Altogether five persons including a civilian were injured when the rival factions of NSCN fought in a fierce gun-battle at Chumukedima in Nagaland's Dimapur district.
Official sources said the clash occurred yeserday when some NSCN (K) cadres moving in two vehicles were chased by the NSCN-IM cadres at Chumukedima, near the house of former Nagaland Chief Minister and present Goa Governor S. C. Jamir, which followed a fierce gun battle, leaving three NSCN-IM and one NSCN (K) cadres injured.
One civilian, who was also in that vicinity, was hit by a stray bullet and shifted to Dimapur Civil Hospital for treatment.
