Cop convicted for bribery

New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) A special CBI court has convicted a Sub-inspector Brij Mohan under Prevention of Corruption Act for accepting bribe of Rs 5,000.

Investigation officer of a case against one Baljit Singh, the sub-inspector asked for Rs 5000 to help the accused get anticipatory bail.

Brij Mohan was caught accepting the bribe red handed on March 6, 2001. The court of Special Judge G P Mittal convicted him on Tuesday. The sentence will be pronounced on Monday.
