Congress leader files nomination as a rebel candidate

Jalandhar, Jan 25 (UNI) Congress leader and Jalandhar Central Coperative Bank Director Anil Dutta today filed his nomination as a rebel candidate from Jalandhar Cantonment against Congress nominee Minister of state Gurkanwal Kaur.

Mr Dutta filed his candidature against Ms Kaur as an indipendent.

He alleged that the congress leadership ignored his services in the party.

A total of 52 candidates, mostly indipendents entered into the fray for Feburary 13, assembly elections from 10 constituencies of Jalandhar district on the last day today.

Scrutiny will be done on January 27 and withdrawals can be made by January 29.
