Apprehending threat to life, Bitta demands enhanced security

New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) All India Anti-terrorism Front chief Maninderjit Singh Bitta has asked the Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil to enhance his security in view of ''threatening calls from Dubai'' for his campaign against clemency to Mohammad Afzal Guru.

The letter, a copy of which is available with UNI, says Mr Bitta has been recieving anonymous calls from Dubai warning him against ''building a national opinion'' against clemency to Parliament attack case convict Afzal Guru.

The letter was sent to the Home Minister on Tuesday.

The Delhi Police, investigating into Mr Bitta's complaint has confirmed receipt of anonymous calls from Dubai.

The anti-terrorism outfit chief also claims to have received letter from one Rafique warning him of the threat to his life from Lashkar militants.
