UT chief engineer among 13 to be awarded commendation certificates

Chandigarh, Jan 24 (UNI) Chandigarh Administration has selected 13 persons who have rendered outstanding services in their particular field for the Commendation Certificates to be awarded on Republic Day function on January 26.

The awardees will be awarded by Chief Guest Adviser to Administrator Mr Lalit Sharma.

Engineering Department headed by Chief Engineer V K Bhardwaj has been selected for the award. Department of Public Relations movie cameraman Gurdev Singh, Junior Handball Coach Iqbal Singh, Junior Cricket Coach Harish Sharma have been selected for the award.

ASI (ORP) Parminder Singh, HC Tejbir Singh and HC Charanjit Singh of Chandigarh Police have also been selected.

Social Worker Amar Manchanda, Magician Ved Parkash have been selected for the award because of their social service in their respective fields. Mr Joginder Singh Sekhon, Malwinder Jit Singh Waraich and Diwan Manna will be awarded for their contribution in the fields of arts.

Rowing player Manjeet Singh will be awarded for the contribution in sports.
