Two miscreants arrested for robbery at Surat

Surat, Jan 24 (UNI) Two miscreants were arrested by the Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) for allegedly robbing a shop and decamping with mobile phones worth Rs 4.45 lakhs in the Varacha area of the city.

The duo, Ashvin Nanaji Kachchdiya (18) and Dinesh Lakshman Dhugath (18) were diamond workers, and were nabbed while attempting to sell their stolen booty yesterday, DCB officials said.

They had allegedly looted a shop, Manoj Radio Service, at the Lal Darwaja area on the night of December 23 and stolen 78 mobile phones worth Rs 4,45,800, police added.
