TNAU farm workers stage road roko

Coimbatore, Jan 24 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Agriculture University (TNAU) farm workers today resorted to a road blockade at Marudamalai Road, opposite the TNAU, demanding wage revision.

About 200 agitators obstructed road traffic demanding among other things enhancement of daily wage from Rs 80 to Rs 120, regularisation of appointment for those with ten and above years of service and Pongal bonus.

They withdrew the agitation with the administration promising to settle the issue within a month.
