Slain TDP leader's second death anniversary observed

Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 24 (UNI) The second death anniversary of TDP former MLA Paritala Ravindra who was killed by unknown assailants, was observed in his native village Venkatapuram in this district today.

Paritala Sunita, his wife, who won the by-election as TDP nominee, TDLP deputy leader Dr Nagam Janardhana Reddy and other senior party leaders attended the programme.

'Astaminchani Ravi' (The Sun That Never Sets), a book authored by Taja Mohiuddin was released on the occasion.

Hundreds of followers of the slain MLA attended the programme and paid tributes to their leader at 'Paritala Ghat.' Andhra Pradesh Government had handed over the investigation of the murder case to the CBI, when the opposition TDP charged that Ravindra was murdered by Congressmen with the connivance of the police. The investigation was in progress.
