Sasken Q3 Revenue at Rs 131 crore

Bangalore, Jan 24 (UNI) Sasken Communication Technologies Limited pioneer in telecom R&D and support outsourcing, today announced a 71 per cent year on year increase in its revenue at Rs 131.02 Crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal.

The revenue was more than 11 per cent over the previous quarter's turnover. It also reported a flat net profit of Rs 11.87 crore when compared to the second quarter.

For the nine months of the current fiscal the increase in revenue was 48 per cent at Rs 339.69 crore with net profit up by 95 per cent at Rs 32.41 crore.

The subsidiary in Mexico has turned profitable for the cumulative period of nine months ending December 31, 2006 A net total of 139 people were added this quarter (Gross Adds of 350), taking the total employee strength to 3,512 as on December 31, 2006. 11 new customers were added during the last quarter with the total base increasing to 76 active customers.

Commenting on the performance, Rajiv Mody, Chairman and CEO of Sasken said ''The Group has had a strong year so far. For the first nine months of this year our services business has delivered 57 per cent growth rate in revenue. All industry trends point towards this growth momentum sustaining and continuing in a healthy manner''.
