Supaul, Jan 24(UNI) The district administration today demanded deployment of additional three companies of paramilitary forces on the 54 KM long Indo-Nepal border following rise in Maoist activities Police Superintendent Raghunath Prasad Singh said the additional companies of paramilitary forces were essential to keep an eye on the maoists along the international border and criminal attacks on the centrally sponsored development schemes and had sent a letter in this reagatd to the state headquarters.

He said the maoists were active in the region and infiltration could not be checked because of the free movement of commoners through the borders.

Mr Singh suspected that the criminals might target the centrally sponsored developmental schemes, including that of the construction of express highway in the district. He also suggested for fencing of the border.
