MRPL's Q3 profit up by Rs 19 Crore

Mangalore, Jan 24 (UNI) The Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has earned a net profit of Rs 118 Crores, registering an increase by Rs 19 Crore during the third quarter of current fiscal ending December 31-2006.

Addressing a press conference here today, MRPL Managing Director R Rajamani said that the turnover of the company during the above period touched Rs 8,403 Crore.

He said that the company had achieved highest ever throughput of 3.36 MMT, which was up by five per cent from 3.19 MMT while it had also achieved highest ever capacity utilisation of 139 per cent which was up by 13 per cent.
