Militants loots vehicle in Dhalai District

Agartala, Jan 24 (UNI) A few armed suspected militants looted the traders under Chamanu police station in Tripura's Dhalai district today.

According to police from Chamanu over phone, said a gang of armed miscreants stopped a vehicle carrying traders going to the Thalchera weekly market and looted all their belongings including cash.

Police suspected that the gang was led by former banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) activist Ratanjoy Tripura.

However, there was no report of any injury or casualty.

Police have rushed to the spot and launched a massive hunt to nab the gang and ascertain the motive behind the incident.
