Kerala CM, HM condole Sivakumar's death

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 24 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today condoled the death of noted poet and lyricist Bharanikavu Sivakumar who died at a private hospital here due to cardiac arrest.

In a condolence message, he said the death of Mr Sivakumar who contributed a number of memorable lyrics to the Malayalam films, was a great loss to the industry.

His contributions in light music and theatre songs were also appreciable, he said.

Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan in his condolence message said the demise of the lyricist, who proved his creative ability at an early age, was an irreparable loss the Malayalam cinema, he added.
