J'khnd Education Tribunal Act to be effective from August 14,2006

Ranchi, Jan 24 (UNI) The Jharkhand Government today decided to implement Jharkhand Education Tribunal Act with retrospective effect from August 14, 2006.

The decision was taken at Cabinet meeting here, Cabinet Secretary J B Tubid said adding the government received several complaints about private educational institutions charging high fee which could be addressed by the Tribunal.

Besides, the Cabinet recomended the Government Drivers' Recruitment and Service Rule, 2006, Mr Tubid said and added earlier the state did not have any specific recruitment policies for such employees.

The outstanding grant to the tune of Rs 49 crore for the non- government minority schools in the state which had been remaining uncleared before the inception of Jharkhand would be paid, he said.
