Jet Airways appoints M
New Delhi, Jan 24 (UNI) Jet Airways has awarded its global advertising business to M&C Saatchi's India operations.
The airline is expected to invest heavily in the media to support its domestic marketing as well as the current and new international routes planned for 2007.
''Nearly 14 years ago, we redefined the quality standards of air travel among the Indian public,'' Jet's Vice-President for marketing Gaurang Shetty said. ''We now face the challenge to expand the brand beyond our own borders and for this we needed an international agency partner.'' M&C Saatchi, recognised as one of the worlds most experienced ad agencies when it comes to airlines and travel, has a network of 16 offices worldwide.
With an established presence in Delhi, the company will now establish its second Indian office in Mumbai to adequately service the Jet Airways account.
Jet currently operates a fleet of 60 aircraft with 47 classic and next generation Boeing 737-400/700/800/900 aircraft, three Airbus A340-300E aircraft, two Airbus A330-200 aircraft and eight modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft.
It operates over 330 daily flights to 50 destinations that span the length and breadth of India and beyond, including London Heathrow, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo, Bangkok and Kathmandu.
